Ring main and trunking

I want to extend the ring main between two adjoining sockets using 2mm2 t&e that will run around the room (there and back is c. 24 feet). Can I use 25mm x 16mm plastic trunking fastened to the wall about the skirting and can I put both cables (there and back) in together?
