I extended a ring main in my house for my new extension/kitchen. I left *plenty* of loose cable at each point, just in case something needed moving once the furniture could be offered up. My builders took it upon themselves to cut the excess off  . The furniture arrived and because of the dishwasher door at the other end, one socket needs moving about 50mm to the right, but the cable comes in on the left. There isn't enough cable to go 50mm to the right.

How can I move this socket 50mm to the right?

make a spur from that socket

EDIT: why 50mm? it aint worth movin that distance

The end of the kitchen unit would be right over the socket. Maybe I could move it to the left so it's behind a unit and spur from it then. Then put a blank plate on the hidden one.
