I have one of these systems in my house, it's been here for 6 or so years without being used, no idea if it was used much before then. I don't have any of the original codes or anything, but I can see the system is at least powered as the control unit has a flashing light, and the sensors periodically show a light.

I simply want to remove the system, but I understand any "tampering" is likely to set off the siren, and I won't have the codes to disable it. Is there any pathway to removing this myself? Where do I even begin if I don't have the codes?

I could get the ladder out and take a look at the siren, but I can't even find a manual online for what it looks like inside. I don't really want to end up in the situation where I've set it off with now way to disable it.

The instruction manual can be found online along with the default codes.

The unit has a master and a dmsub engineers code, there is a fair chance a lazy installer didn’t change the sub engineers code.

post back if the codes don’t work, the manual has the reset procedures I. It also but they may not work if it’s locked.

I've searched but all I can find is the installation quick start guide, and the user manual which I already have a hard copy of.

Even if I got those codes, presumably if they don't work it will set the thing off?
