Right, differing opinions as always
I have seen water dripping through the rip before, although not had a good check to see how the water has accumulated on the felt itself.
I was planning on re fitting the ridge tiles on a new bed of mortar and pointing in, but thought it was a waste of time if I had to take the roof off to re felt.
The tiles on my roof are flat, and look like marley style, although I am only guessing from taking tiles off in the past when putting flues through roofs ( heating engineer)
I'll wait till it rains and have a good nosey up in the loft before doing anything else I think.
Thanks for all the help, Sam
P.S feel free to continue arguing on this thread, makes good reading!
