Hello!
Roof sagging where chimney was taken out and then (I assume) roof woodwork not sorted properly afterwards.
I think all the roof tiles are good, and the timbers seem fine (no rot/damp). Cannot afford new roof right now, so could the sag be temporarily halted (i.e. just made safe) by adding in some extra timber to support?
Any advice very gratefully received!
Thank you!

It is just the felt that has sagged and the structure is fine so you need to tuck the upper piece of felt down behind the lower felt so it looks like the bay to the right of it. You could then insert a timber if you wish to stop it recurring but not essential.

As an aside, felt is a 2nd line of defence to the tiles, guides any moisture penetrating in through the tiles down towards gutters and also prevents wind blown dust coming in so not a must do now situation but when you have the time and inclination. In the past house roofs were built without felt and are still doing their job today
