room thermostat needed

Thats too cryptic for me all that crossword stuff!

Looking simply at what the boiler is doing, it will switch off if the CH flow reduces because all the TRVs are satisfied.

One assumes that to save energy, the boiler turns the pump off and then trys again after say 10 minutes to see if there is any flow to indicate a demand for further heat.

All quite simple and enables all rads to have TRVs to save energy.

Baxi are quite good with their info to installers but they seem to have dropped off in this case as I had not heard of this feature on their models before!

It could be a good system if all trv's that you could buy lasted a respectable time. I saw some in a "pound" shop recently at £2.99.

Presumably all the Polish plumbers were buying them up!

We only fit the liquid filled models and greatly prefer the Drayton TRV4.

New to me too but just one thought- one sticky trv (open obviously) and boiler runs on and on and on?
Edit. Curses- thought I was first but hadn't noticed page 2!

It would have been sensible of the installer to have explained how the systems works to the customer, and for the customer to have called the installer about the concern.

Maybe they did, according to Agile, customers only remember 30% of what you tell them.

Well thats a bit rich Chris.. No wonder consumers have a dim view of us...Your comment... Well i can see why they have this view when a perfectly installed boiler is slagged of by you and others and you going that little bit further by saying guy shold be taken to court what is consumer meant to think. Just as well some people on this site don`t act as judge jury an executioner and actually read manufcturers litreture... Agile how can you say Baxi have slipped up by not making this known when they have put hundred of thousands of brouchures into merchants

Wasn't me doing the sniping, was it sunshine?
Nobody did any slagging off, just thought he was wrong - get your slang right will you?
I didn't say he should be taken to court.
Again we see all you want to do is slag off and moan, contributing nothing.

He has broken the LAW. He is liable to a fine for each day that the transgression is allowed to remain. Prison sentence is possible! He'll probably moan that a wire has to go between the boler and the thermostat which can be a pain.

To be honest it was a wind up question i knew all along it was perfectly legal an so did my installer . Jenny is a female donkey and certainly found a few donkeys with the replies given .

Chavs, travellers, illegal bikers, anybody caught stealing raping spitting illegal tipping, Part A to L incompetent engineers, please dont feel slighted if I missed anything or anyone on here, but yes I could be judge jury and EXECUTIONER, if I topped the odd innocent tough, they were probably just about to commit a crime anyway, now where did I leave my axe, got to practise to get my NVQ and ACS in head lopping, gonna cost £5000.00 at my local head lopping college,

Well Donkey- or is it ass? Thank you for bringing to light this new, innovative design from Baxi which, to the surprise of some very clued up people on here, has bypassed (excuse the pun) some of Part L. Time will tell how well it works. However, your message would have been better put with a, 'Have you seen this' approach. Now please do feel free to return to the sanctuary.

But it's more fun this way, at least when you're not the one who takes the bait. And it keeps us on our toes. Keep 'em coming.....(I've a feeling I may come to regret those words though...)

Gasman (and I do hope you're not jenny the donkey too), where did you hear about it? I haven't seen any media coverage, no mailshot, nothing in GI. Not the sort of thing one would forget reading.

Perhaps it may be an idea to simply reply to every question R.T.F.M, might make this a slightly less interesting place to be though.
