is this just for the joints?
any inserts that need cutting out?i:e hob/sink ?

if its just for the joints i would price for the day but if it took me a day then theres something wrong and that includes screwing it down etc and cleaning up the joints,basically you have to allow the sods law factor into these sort of things,i think the price you have been given is on the steep side,no doubt the chap has priced for 2 chippys but really i wouldve said 200 quid max to include a labourer.but i havnt a clue what the tradesman charge on the island.

if your talking cutting square in a strait line with a circular saw
20 mins preperation 5 mins marking and double checking and 1 min cutting per edge

Hello gregers you say that you cut your mason mitres by hand,what size saw brand , how many teeth, is it a hard point saw .
