Running a dehumidifier off of a 12V battery (thinking of)

We used some thing like this View attachment 332520they clearly worked as the water arrived in the bottom, but the best dehumidifier had to be single glazed windows with a small built in tray on the bottom of the metal frames and a hole to the outside, you could see the water running down the windows, and when the temperature dropped got some lovely frozen patterns, as a child was told painted by jack frost.
But where do you get these from?

The biggest problem I had with damp was living in a caravan, the problem was we used gas for heating with no flue. Burn a hydrocarbon and the hydrogen combines with oxygen in the air to make water. So putting on the gas fire to dry the caravan simply did not work. Cure was to get electric hook up, and use a fan heater, latter caravans had a gas heater with a flue.
There are second hand carver heaters for sale made in the 70s

I suspect that the electrical connection for the item for which you show the link:
is just to run the fan.
Regeneration of the silica gel that does the damp absorbing is either done via hot air in the same unit, or by removing the silica gel container and using a microwave oven to do it
