Hi all.
Currently running some new sockets in the garage but got a query. I'm running 2.5mm cable down the walls to each socket outlet, however on these walls there will be studding frqme built with celotex in then plasterboard (garage conversion).
I'm thinking instead of clipping the cable down the wall to also place it in pvc channel to create a air gap between the cables and the celotex. I know there should be a air gap anyway but just want to protect the cable. This right procedure? This would prevent the celotex when fitted being pushed against the cable to the outer wall derating the cable,.unless I just go up to 4mm
