the figures you where given where near enough tony ain't thick

if your that fussy phone ideal

Never said he was but obviously you are a regular who knows other qualified people that post on here, also as a qualified person yourself, you know the figures to be quite accurate, you have to understand that I do not have that knowledge along with other DIY'ers and therefore to be confident that the job in hand was to be done properly quoted figures from a instruction manual would have obviously been the ideal, however as you have backed up what Tony has said I can now take this to be sufficiantly accurate to be confident in going ahead with the work!

Emailed you the manual last week - and it didn't bounce.....

some things need to be exact on boilers invisible. but a precharge pressure of 0.7 bar is what most manufacturers would recommend. do it at 0.9 bar isnt going to hurt it, in fact when you remove your footpump, you lose a little bit. the pressure from the filling loop is between 1 to 1.5 bar. so the pressures are not exact, more to fit in a band, dont go above 1.5 bar, and dont go above 0.9bar. make sure system has no pressure in it before precharging... leave an open end because precharging causes a slight displacement.... good luck.

Hi Chris, appreciate that, I did not receive it, if you could send again I will look out for it, I did manage to get the pressure up, the problem was that the filling loop must have had the one way valve stuck on one side, after taking it apart it seemed to clear, at the moment I just have to change the Auto Air Vent as it is leaking then re-pressurise!

Many thanks, you have been very helpful

check the precharge pressure if you want to invisible, but a leak will not affect the precharge pressure that was already there.

Thanks Jumbo, you have also been very helpful and exactly the sort of person that I hoped would help me, obviously you understand my situation! Much obliged!

Yes Jumbo I understand that (thanks) but thought that while the pressure was down I would just check that the EV pressure was correct as it hadn't been serviced recently.

Cheers mate!
