Hi, i responded to your query a couple of days ago, not sure if you read it or not? In any case - the lintel was from jewsons, it's concrete 900mm long, steel re-enforced, it cost £8.
The acrow/strongboys weren't used in the end, i found that the small throat lintel was quite loose anyway, and wasn't really supporting the bricks directly above it. The new lintel was cut to length and inserted in situ. To finish off it was packed up tight to the brick work above with a combination of slate, crushed brick ends and mortar.
