On the street we lived on (when I was young), one of our neighbours had a small yappy dog, that used to chase cars. My dad took to carrying a house brick in the car, to launch out of the window at the dog, when it was chasing his car. Usually missed it,,,,,,,,,,,, but one day he got lucky.

Nope, the cat is happy where it is, unfortunately I feel sorry for the van driver, it will be a long lasting curse, he shall pay, he shall pay slowly and painfully, ecconomy downturn doesn't help, but this one running over a cat definitely means a bankrupcy, he will end up driving his van without insurance and it will get impounded and crushed, but this would just be the begining, and then another 7 years to still come! I really fel sorry for that van driver.
I am sure your neighbour's daughter will mis the cat badly and she will insist her daddy to get her another one, and he shall get one and she will fall pregnent and give birth to 7 kittens and you will definitely need that shovel again and a large bag to collect poo!

I know G.D. is uber-dull, but how dull must your life be to want to celebrate the passing of a cat?

Glad to hear that you are happy LMB and that you can finally take pride in your lawn. I bet it will look fantastic from here on, maybe you can add some stripes and really impress yourself. And, when you meet your demise (perhaps get hit by a van - who knows), people will ask 'It's so sad, who's going to tend to the grass now his gone?'

7 years bad luck is for a mirror, mike, so unless the cat jumped and knocked off his wing mirror he wont have that. knocking a cat down accidently means he will lose a 25p screwdriver on a tuesday in june. god revealed this to me.
I cried when our first cat died. Grown ups have feelings too.
