Dear all,

I have a couple of stretches of guttering sagging at corners and overflowing. Basically, they need to be refitted with new brackets to attach them to the facias. One stretch is about 9 foot long and the other about 6 foot. I've been quoted £500 +VAT for this which seems expensive. I don't want to be unfair on the tradesperson but wonder whether this sounds about right.

Thanks

The quote will depend on such things as whether scaffolding, cherry-picker or just ladders are necessary for safe access.
Post a pic or two.

OP,
As above, access is the key to the question.
Two workers are typically required to work anywhere at height - think H&S & insurance?
They may do the job in two or three hours but if the job goes even a few minutes into the afternoon then thats the workday accounted for.

Thanks for the input, all. I shopped around and got it done today for £150. Very pleased.
