I never suggested that anyone was doing something in contravention of the Water Regs.
Merely pointed out that the restrictor COULD be removed from the pump!
One good feature of the S-T unit is that there is a bypass valve so that if the incoming pressure/flow was higher then mains flow can bypass the pump to increase the flow beyond 12 li/min. That can happen on upper floors where the mains supply is shared with the lower floors and the supply is adequate when no flow is being taken from below.
