I built an extension for a customer. The contract was for completion within 28 days.
The job was finished on target, with the exception of the double glazed door and side panel.
Having been given 4 separate dates, with only partial completion.
I am still after 2 months keen to complete the work, and collect my remaining retention.
The company I bought the units from is trying to lay blame on the door manufacturer, but I placed my order with another national supplier of UPVC, the "middle man".
Can I claim compensation from the company I paid in full up front for the job?

You can "claim" what you want, but it will have to be through a court. And probably through a claim of breach of contract. But you have NO rights via SOG act - you are not a "consumer"

If it were a block of flats and you were waiting for 127 windows and 6 doors. It's not worth it for one door and window.
