Hi l have a Worcester boiler with a salus st620wbc fitted which works ok when using the touch ring. But if I move the slide switch on the boiler to on it doesn't come on
If I understand you correctly, if the slide switch on the Salus receiver is in the mid (auto) position, the thermostat works correctly, turning the boiler on and off as required.
And if you have the Salus receiver slide switch in the right hand (On) position, the boiler doesn't fire?
If that's the case, then it suggests that the main relay in the receiver is working correctly, responding to the call to heat from the remote stat - the problem would lie with the slide switch itself.
You could try sliding the switch back and forth a few times, or even attempt to spray a little contact cleaner behind it.
Alternatively, just turn the thermostat up when you need the heating on.
I'm afraid Salus don't have a particularly good reputation within this forum - there are plenty of far better remote thermostats available!
I have a salus it500bm, only use for combi, i like the internet app which is simple and easy to use, however they had real problems last nov when their cloud server kept on keeling over, but overall its worked ok.
