Samsung BF641FST Oven not working

My Samsung oven is over 2 years old so out of warranty. For the past few days the oven is no longer working. The light works but the actual oven fans and grill do not work. Also the display keeps flashing 88:88. Any idea what this could be?

Is it set to auto instead of manual mode?

What is an auto mode? And how do I change between the modes?

I cannot see anything about an Auto mode in the manual

No it appears it does not have a timer facility, but it also appears it will not work without setting the clock which is strange. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/202147/Samsung-Bf641fst.html?page=6#manual

I cannot set the time. Everytime i press or rotate the middle knob, the 88:88 blinking stops (display goes empty) but nothing happens. A few seconds later the blinking resumes again

Turn it off at the wall & leave it 10 mins. Turn back on & try again. If that fails it sounds like the pub may have failed.
