We have a lot of power cuts in our rural village and our solar inverter shows our mains voltages all over the place. Our alarm panel was killed by our last power cut which flickered on and off about 3 times before going off. I have a new panel so I wondered if I can add some sort of breaker fuse protection inside the alarm as the standard fuses and breaker on the meter failed to prevent the damage. The glass fuses remained intact but would something resettable fit between the transformer and PCB? Thanks

It allready has one ….thats the issue with cheap small panels made on a budget and a limited battery back up capacity , the panels have dropped in quality over the last 10 years I’ve replaced 6/7 in last year all failing with faults like voltage being 6-7 volts at the battery / aux / bell …

It has the fuses yes but they didn't blow or protect the PCB enough as the power spike blew it.
