I have had the Scantronic 9800 for many years and it has been working very well. It was given a full testing yesterday and all was well. Then out of the blue the alarm set off this morning. I put in my code and it swiched off. It now shows AP on the screen which seems to be Auxiliary power failure or in one place in the user manual it says Aux. (Detector) power failure. It is not the bF battery or Lb low battery which I have had in years past. So what is this and how can it be fixed please. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

sounds like the auxiliary fuse has blow due to a short.
the auxiliary fuse is normally used to power detectors, so I would expect door contacts to work but nothing that is hardwired to the panel that uses power from the auxiliary power circuit.

No fuses on that panel ...possible short , may involve checking all devices for shorts
