it is typical that a "scot" got put out of wimbledon, if he had gone on to win it there would have been a great hooray for the new BRITISH champion.

If I remember, he was being baited by the journo doing the interview who was taking the pure pee out of Scotland as they again failed to qualify. What he said was a retort.
