Hi
I have a Hoover condenser tumble dryer. It is about 2 years old.
During the tumble it creates a loud screeching/ squealing noise.
Thought this might be the belt but a noodle around the interweb suggests it may be the Idler pulley bearing burnt out.

Does anyone know if Is this a replacement that is easy to carry out?
Thanks

Sorry. Not done one.

Depending on where the noise is coming from. It might be worth your while having a look to see if you can gain access to the jockey pulleys. Apply a spot of oil on the pulley shafts and see if that quietens things down.

Oil needs to be applied to the pulley shaft--not the belt, or where the belt runs on the pulleys--

The jockey pulleys are located at the bottom by the motor, if that's any help

:)
