screwing down plywood over chimney hearth

Thorsman make decent plugs, but you should be ok with most makes. Just make sure the plug is a nice snug fit in the hole (maybe use a 5.5mm drill bit instead of the 6mm). You also need to make sure that your screw is long enough to go through the full length of the plug so you'll need longer screws than 30mm if your plugs are 40mm.

the plugs are just spinning I think. Guess adhesive is the only thing left.
I'll have to take up that bit of ply. Is it okay to rescrew into the same holes once the adhesive is down on that small section?
