Sealing tiles, grout and wall

Hi, I am seeing issues with water through wall and floor under the bath. As an explanation, it is a large P-bath with large tiles and large grout lines, but used as a shower mostly. The tiles only go down to the bath, so under the bath it is just bare walls. I plan to try and fix this by sealing the walls under the bath, sealing all edges with silicon sealant and sealing tiles/grout with something.
I'm looking at a budget solution but the most effective so there is a trade off. I cannot afford to strip tiles and redo them, or cut the grout out/regrout as I don't think that's going to fix the full issue.
So I thought about SBR or PVA for the walls but that led me to lots of posts that say don't use these near grout. I also wondered if SBR/PVA on the grout/tiles but again the posts tell me this is not a good idea.
Can anyone tell me from experience what I can do here, I don't think there was any coating on the floor/wall before tiling so I need to get as waterproof as possible. What to use on the tiles/grout, what to use on the walls that is both efficient and budget friendly? I was thinking initially a bulk can of something (like https://www.screwfix.com/p/thompsons-water-seal-clear-5ltr/52043 if not SBR or PVA).

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

Water can get around shower mixer if piped through wall or any drilled holes. Seal around with clear or white polymer like CT1 or stixall.
Get under bath and stick wood battens to wall packing up tight at the bottom with polymer grab like stixall. You can make them T shaped.
This will stop any flex in bath edges breaking seal and leaking.
Dig out any problem areas and regrout.
Maybe look to clean old grout and use a grout sealer.
Dig out silicone and clean edges with meths then put a good tooled angled bead of silicone around the edge of bath. Don't use finger. You need something thickers and angled.
Charliediy on YouTube has great videos on this.
With good sealed grout.
A siliconed bath that don't flex you won't get any water passing.
I don't understand why your messing under the bath as your should not be getting water under.

Hi Wayners, thanks for your reply. Your advice seems good. In fact, this is what i was trying to do many years ago when i put the bathroom in, except at the time i didn't know about priming or grout sealer, etc.
Since then I have resealed the silicone a few times and also tried to re-grout a bit of it a few years ago. But the water seems to have made its way and done the damage now, so I am thinking that before I fix the damage (plastering etc) I try to seal everything again.
The silicone I used last time seems to be poor, so that's one issue, it seems like its shrunk. The grout may have hairline cracks in a few places so i was hoping that the sealer would help for those. Then under the bath I wanted to make sure any leaks that did make it through can be trapped there so I wanted to seal any pipe holes and edges. While I'm there I thought I'd seal the wall to stop it absorbing water and making its way down, this may be pointless but thought its just a piece of mind while i'm down there.
Currently I've just started to use a grout pen to whiten the grout. I will need to get some grout repair to inject a couple of places just to fill it back.
What's the best grout sealer that you can recommend? I was hoping for the non-spray due to ventilation needed (its holidays and cold!), maybe this stuff https://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonse...tr/5163v#product_additional_details_container.
I also plan to seal the floor tiles too. Is there anything you can recommend for the wall? Also I should mention that there is a batten that the bath sits in. the walls are not square so i had to put silicone when i first installed the bath to fill the edges. I assume that as I re-sealed over time I did not get good adhesion or fill, I go through quite a bit when filling the voids, the bath has a curve so that doesn't help much. I'll check out the videos to see if i get some tips from there. Is any 'silicone' sealant ok to use, I say this because some say sealant but if it doesn't say silicone I find that its more of a caulk.
Sorry for the essay, just trying to explain the scenario to get as much help. Thank you for your help!

Try not to put bottles around bath as it prompt mould by trapping water.
Mould spray from supermarket once a month keeps it clean.
I also used a window vac in evening to remove water but many just wipe it all down.
Hanging water and mould degrades silicone it seems.
All looks ok though and just needs a bit of work to keep in good condition.
Definitely get some props under bath to make solid.
Geocel silicone specific for bath is what you should use if you want a recommendation..
With mastic is must say on tube it will do the job you want. If it don't then it's the wrong product.
Use a set off these. Nice thick angled silicone won't hold water. It will run off.

As for products I'd recommend BAL sealer and grouts. You know its been tested well. Good support documents

Thanks. I'll check out the BAL sealer. I'll see if i can get some vertical battens in there too to restrict movement. Also i'll see if i can get something to put on the wall to get the bottles off the side too. This is the job over the Xmas holidays.

Merry xmas all!
