I see Theresa is trying to frighten everybody by implying that the only alternative to her deal is the calamitous no-deal cliff edge.

No deal would never get voted for, aint gonna happen. Its she gave up on that carp.

focusing on what is proposed.

What is proposed is Theresa's deal, to which there are two alternatives.

The Brextremists, after two years and more, have failed to come up with any agreed proposal or plan, and can't even decide what they want.

2nd vote is inevitable.

Now you know what the Brexit deal with the EU is, do you wish to leave, or remain.

Can't say fairer then that.

Then what.we stay in EU and pretend ref1 never happened?... you think the far right will just accept that?...we vote for the deal?

You misunderstand what no-deal is, and how it is achieved. You don't have to vote for it. In the same way that you don't have to go to a shop and bargain with a shopkeeper in order not to buy anything. Not having a deal is what happens if you don't agree a deal.

"There is an infallible way to identify politicians and commentators who have not read Article 50 of the Lisbon treaty. What gives their game away is the complacent and mistaken assertion that a no-deal Brexit is impossible on the grounds there is no majority for it in the House of Commons. The reality is that a campaign to undo the 2016 referendum is virtually impossible without the explicit support of the government."

Although the author should have added "whoever the government is at the time."
