A straight line is merely a circle of infinite radius...

It was either in the Science Museum or in Eureka (Securespark knows it) up in Yorkshire, they had some models of "impossible" shapes (such as that second picture), very cool. Look at it from the intended angle and you have something that confuses the hell out of you. Put your head a few inches to the left and the illusion disappears!

You would probably enjoy the works of Escher, he did stuff with nevereveveveveverending staircases...

Yep, old Maurits Cornelius drew the final 'step' image of original post !! Must have lived in the Nether regions of Somerset at some time, probably 'Nether Stowey' not 'Netherlands' !
Images often appear thus after a severe dose of the old apple juice !!

This man is playing guitar for the whole neighborhood! Another subtle effect is that in the foreground, it looks like it is night time, but if you look at the clouds it looks like it could just be early in the morning. Also, the shadows aren't really correct, are they? The shadow of the houses, and the man, and the windows, and the trees are all going in different directions!

Just looked again at the man playing guitar, could be lit by bright moon lowish to his left or right of pix, and a surface light from the road area below ... Just thought the houses begin to look like people mid ground to horizon.
