Selling my ex's tools

I've just been offered £200 for it from a company who refurbishes equipment and resells.

It seems it needs some parts and work and they said it's a "museum piece". If that's true then it makes me wonder what it would be worth after the refurb and money spent on parts. hmmmm... certainly over £200 anyway!

I would name the company so you could take a look at their website but I am not sure if we are allowed to post links on this forum.

Any better offers than £200?

I don't think you lot are taking me seriously!

I think I'm going to sell it to that company tomorrow unless any of these offers are serious. If you do want it then please message me.

Please don't lead the lady on, she has an opportunity to make some decent money here, if you are not serious then don't cloud the issue.

Thanks Wotan, I'm just trying to sell this stuff to get money in to pay the bills!

Someone has just told me this is a total station and not a theodolite. I looked them both up and the look very much the same thing to me. Can anyone tell me what the difference is (if any)?

I'm told a total station is worth more than a theodolite - is that right, and if so, why?
