No. I think if anything I based it on a similar extension I'd seen at some point:
What I didn't know was that that is a cold flat roof with probably no insulation and a separate room to the rest of the house with a lower floor and ceiling height etc.
I know, or even a hip to gable (as we like lofties on out road), but it's easy with hindsight and there's no way I'm starting that now.

Yea, that "extend the entire roof" nuclear approach was my first thought.. but then I got down to the "progress so far" pic and realised.. Unless youre doing a loft conversion too it's a lot of work for a comparatively small extension
The current bathroom is next to it, the box room at the back of the house is being split to form a new bathroom and corridor to access a new bedroom in a new rear extension, the small extension and old bathroom will be combined to form a new, reasonably sized bedroom.
