That could jeopardise the growth projected by the IMF. "
Projections are great - quoted when they turn out to be true, quickly deleted and forgotten when wrong.

When brexits fails there would be another vote...If Brexit failed, and the UK wanted to re join the UK, would there be another referendum ? Would we meet the criteria for membership (as things are with us at the moment) ?
Assuming there is an orderly Brexit at the end of the month, and a gradual transition to a new relationship with the bloc.
At least you understood my question, even with the typo I missed. When brexits fails there would be another vote...
(although rabid quitters will ironically threaten all sorts of legal measures to prevent it)
The demographic will have changed though, and plenty of current quitters will by then be pushing up daisies
But then would the EU require the UK to fulfill requirements it currently doesn't have to meet?
Such as joining the Euro? - a bad idea!
But just as brexit means that the UK is having to deal with being a weaker country when negotiating 'deals', it would be in the same position should we wish to rejoin...
Not that the instigators of this debacle will care, as they will have stashed their cash offshore and will be long gone!
Funnily enough...Are we saying brexiteers are jumping for joy on a forecast that is only positive for the UK if it stays closely aligned to the EU
Indeed I did.At least you understood my question

"A Brexit Party MEP has prompted derision after complaining that Britain will have no representation at EU level after it leaves...
June Mummery, one of the party's 29 representatives elected to the European Parliament last year, suggested the loss of MEPs would make it hard to hold Brussels to account"
"The big question now is, who will be here to hold these people to account while they still control Britain’s waters, but the UK has no representation?"
"Britain will lose its MEPs, EU commissioner and seats on the EU council after Brexit – leaving it with no control over the bloc's polices or political direction...
However, because of the EU's dominant position in international trade, its policies are expected to have a significant impact on the UK even after Brexit."
You really can't make this stuff up, can you? I bet it's the sudden realisation that they will be out of a cushty job that until now nobody really noticed they did - MEPs had it easy, they did the job that nobody else wanted, because they couldn't get voted into a position in the UK. Now they are sad to lose their £100k a year + hotel and living expenses to have a big jolly in Europe. Poor blighters, they'll have to sign on soon. Oh, sorry, you've been working overseas too long, no benefits for you, bye!
The EU is far from perfect, but the UK is now the 'weaker side
We won the War.
On the 1st Feb 2020 the worlds biggest trade bloc becomes a competitor to the UK.
It is 6X bigger than the UK
Who will pull all the punches.
But won’t that be countered by all the rabid remaining boo-hooing losers who left the country with their partners and highly educated children after the crushing Tory and pro-Brexit election win? I mean, there’s 4 votes lost with just you and yours. You did leave the country like you said you had, didn’t you? Did you? You never confirmed it. Did you leave? The demographic will have changed though, and plenty of current quitters will by then be pushing up daisies
