Should of Would of Could of Off of

In an informal place, such as a forum, rules can possibly be more relaxed. A post always looks properly written to me if reasonable care has been taken over spelling, capital letters and general structure. Also, strict rules don't allow for a writing style and therefore convey less about a person's personality.

Rider, I agree. I've had a look at that link and found another ancient memory, namely "This is the kind of impertinence up with which I shall not put." Sometimes a sentence is so much neater with the preposition at the end. How about "Where did that come from?" or "Who are you going with?" The second one should, I think, be "With WHOM are you going?" but the word "whom" is now so rarely used that most of us no longer know how to use it.

The French go to a lot of trouble to maintain the integrity of their language but have failed to prevent the widespread use of "le weekend". We've pinched plenty of their words over the centuries so we owe them some back. I wonder whether the French for "coq au vin" is"le chicken in wine sauce"?

Nice thought, but I doubt it; although I'm told that the French don't have an equivalent for the word "entrepreneur". ;)

I'd probably use 'via' or 'through' but what does it matter if the meaning is crysal clear?
