I have a Salamander CT75 supplying two showers and a Bath.

Recently the pump has started to stay on after turning off the shower or bath.

Repeated turning on and off stops it. Nothing has changed plumbing wise.

Is this an indicator of an issue?

Cheers
Kevin

When my salamander pump went, would not turn on, I took the housing apart to see if could repair replace the flow sensor. It wasn't repairable or replaceable as far as I was concerned and when I put the housing back together it leaked. So I binned that pump and bought a new one. Salamander pumps are not know for their longevity and others on here have recomended Thomson (I think) pumps for better reliabilty. Those pumps are significantly more expensive though. That first pump that packed up was just over two years old it's replacement, another salamander, is just over three years old and still going.

I've had 5 Salamander Pumps in the past 7 years. I got the original from Screwfix and wwhen I take it back they simply replace it FOC.
Previously the pumps just packed up - one evidently had a broken bearing.
The last time, I upgraded from the CT50 to the CT75 in case the CT50 wasn't man enough and the issue is different - won't turn off.
I see you can buy a Flow Sensor for £25 - I might as well take it back to ScrewFix

Thanks chaps.

The Stuart Turner Monsoon is designed to fit to 22mm pipework - mine is 15mm.
Is it OK to connect it to 15mm?
I'm looking at the 2 Bar twin pump
