During recent plumbing work following a major underground leak, I had a new shower pump fitted in the loft to improve the shower performance in our bathroom.

The pump has been fitted so that any request for water turns it on.

When the pump is running it isn't quiet as I think it is vibrating because it is fitted across the joists.

Can anyone offer advice as to how I can quieten the pump?

Thanks

Shower pumps are noisy when working, being fitted on joists the vibrations are being transmitted along the joists. Check the rubber feet are in place on the pump and place the pump on a thick garden slabstone.
