Hi.
I have the trap shown in the photo. On the instructions it shows a PVC solvent brush image. Does this indicate the connecting waste must be solvented in?
To me it feels like a compression fitting and the the elbow compression fit onto my existing solvent waste.
Advice appreciated as I can't figure out what the brush means.

It's just a normal compression fitting...it might be indicating that solvent-weld size pipe will fit into it (it's a bit bigger than push-fit)

Thanks for the reply
Just out of interest. Do you add sealant above and below the trap mating surfaces to the tray?
Dosent mention it but seen some videos advising it.
Thanks

I do:-
Sealant on the trap
Sit rubber washer onto trap
Sealant on washer
Sealant on top surface of tray
Fit trap to tray
Clean excess sealant from top of tray whilst still wet

If they provide you with a washer for the top side of the tray, chuck it away - it's not necessary
