furthur to my previous post ihave a 7.5kw shower running off 6mm cable on a 32 amp mcb lenghth aprox 8ft from comsumer unit to 45amp iso switch then to shower unit 8ft total lenghth approx if i was to upgrade to 8.5kw rather than 9.5 would you say i could use exisiting or up grade to 10mm of a 40 amp mcb thanks

8500w/ 240v = 35.4 AMPS

so your current 32A protective device is not going to be any good.

your going to have to upgrade im afraid.

or buy another low rating shower.
