That doesn't answer the question.

I can buy a panel of the the web. I can then work out where to drill a hole to access the wiring. I can disable it within the entry time (done it with an old 9448). Nothing to do with regs.

Is that not a bit extreme, having to pay someone to make a simple change like that on my own alarm system?

Probably a bit late with this but VR1 on the alarm panel main circuit board controls the volume of the buzzer that sounds when setting the alarm.

We turned ours down when the kids were small and we wanted to set the alarm before going to bed.
