Thanks for the advice lostinthelight. Yes, I discovered I need to use the flat side opposite to the bevelled. Thanks for that link, I'll have a read. I put a load of HG Mould remover on the area, left it 30 minutes and rinsed it off and dried it. I've got 70% Isoproply Alcohol as my final step in cleaning.
Just to clarify, 'bottom of the joint' I take that to mean just enough to fill the narrow gap? To be honest, it's so very narrow, I'm not sure I can fill it and have it flush with the basin without smoothing it. Hmm, or I guess the first nozzle cut will have to be incredibly small.
