The Electric meter box in the bedroom looks unsightly and of course needs dealing with. We have had a Smart Meter fitted and now access to the meter is needed only once a year. The plan is to cover this with a big mirror fixed to MDF and that screwed to the wall over the meter door. Once a year I will unscrew it on appointment for them to check.

I will frame the MDF with architrave to make it look tidy. The mirror arrived today so pictures will follow.

Still needs to be painted, but this covers the meter front totally. We have had a Smart Meter fitted so access will only be needed once a year.

Really, then you have done well, attention to detail seems very good.
Though as an electrician, I did notice the socket behind the little wall unit, but we will let that slide. :)
Well done, you and your family should be proud

Thank you, we are very pleased with how its turned out and have saved a lot of money doing so much ourselves. We were quoted by a local builder £30000. We have spent £10000. It was well worth doing. Just the external render to do and its job done.

Well the extension has been in use for two years now, the outside got rendered and all painted along with the main house. It was very worth while engaging in this project.

Alongside our children, we have three foster children in placement, so our aims were met. The total cost was £11500.00.
