Was talking to an anesthesiologist tonight at Guys and St Thomas's. Says it is much busier there now than in first wave. 200 people in icu. They've closed one children's icu for covid patients. Other nhs workers (dentists, student nurses, etc) to help on covid wards.

They have had limitations on the number of covid patients they can handle due to limitations on oxygen flow - ;) oddly plumbing problems not getting the stuff delivered often enough. This is said to mainly feature in older hospitals - given what has been happening in that area they probable mean ones that were not built fairly recently.

Having empty wards. I was treated for something in one that had been empty. Cleaned up and a number of people who needed the same treatment bought in. Deep cleaning might figure in the need for spares as well. It might only be a feature of older hospitals.

A lot that go in just need oxygen. Some go on to need more. Stays aren't that short for all so if infection rates are fast enough the system clogs up hence lock downs when they know it will at some point. They also have people in with other problems that must have treatment. The musts get looked after. Those that can wait have to do that.

They have been trialling a remote monitoring set up and it seems it will be rolled out across the country. It might be used in several ways but it sounds like it's intended to get people out of hospital quicker. They go home with an oxygen level sensor and monitor themselves putting readings into a web app. One nurse can monitor lots of people. They probably work in a similar way in hospitals but for longer in case people deteriorate. It seems few need to go back into hospital when it is done remotely. Boris was one who deteriorated. There is also talk of sending one of these sensors out to everybody over a certain age. Just talk.
 
We also talked about the Nightingale hospitals. He described them as nothing but a political move to make it look like they were doing something, and a way to employ a load of people and mobilise the army. But what they didn't do, and cannot do, is staff them! It takes 3 years to train an ICU nurse, it is highly specialist nursing, not something you can train somebody to do in a month. But there might now be plans to use Nightingales for non-covid recovery - they should be able to run these were fewer nurses per patient as it is mostly people just watching and sleeping TV while getting pain meds.

They have been some use of the nightingales for covid recovery. Some say there is only one Nightingale, the London one. Bad noises have been made about some of the equipment in it and it's not entirely clear what the others are for. Our local one which is big was reported as being for palliative care aka end of life care according to local news. They used the word seems. I suspect they are really the last ditch attempt to get control if it runs riot. it might have done and still could. Staffing problems won't help. There is little news about them now and it appears some were tents at one point.

It's funny how people ignore changes. They have added a pre ventilation stage to the process. All the new gear that hit the news a while ago. The provide high pressure air/oxygen for people to breath. Some recover and don't need ventilation. It reduces the numbers that need them.

Politics. How many JCB ventilator cases have been used, How many Dyson ventilators have been bought or eve sold. How many of any type has been bought. I've heard nothing but limited reasons for having them if they can't be staffed. I assume they do have more but do they?

Being in ICU normally doesn't mean that people will need all they can offer. Boris for instance went into one and didn't. What about now if there is no room for the may need its.

So it’s complete *******s then basically. well yesterday I spoke with the person who gives the official Covid statistics to the government and he admitted to me that they have been exaggerated.
We can all claim to have spoken to people.
So yet again from yourself BLATANT LIES.
When you are asked a question you resort to a abuse.

But you refused to share the videos, instead tell us to find them ourselves, and then when all we could find was a BBC news item debunking the story, you dismissed the news story.
You refused to share details of the hospital with an empty ward, on the grounds that you work there - even though you are not sharing anything that is already in the public eye
And you refused to tell us the name of the doctor who said the Pfizer vaccine was just a money making scheme

So, without sharing anything to back up anything you have said, we have to assume that it might not be factually correct ... but you can easily resolve this by backing up your claims.
