Hi,

I am thinking of replacing my existing boiler with a Combi. The nearest place to get mains water to the boiler is from the utility room but this only has a water pipe which is 15mm and is used to supply the washing machine. Will it be OK to tap of this or will the heating engineers need to dig up my concrete floor to get access to the rising main.

15 mm is fine as long as the flow rate gives at least 15 litres per minute.

The flow rate is usually more dependent on the mains pipe into the property.
