Need some advice so I would like a sliding door on my front room.

I have the kit but as I have 100mm arcatrave the door will have a huge gap at the bottom once installed

Do people normally have to cut in to the arcatrave to install these or am I missing something

Do I need to by a custom size door to fit

Shown some pictures of the arcatrave in question and the mount for the sliding door

With the door and the runner and some clearance on the arcatrave I need around 2200mm

You may need to trim the door if its too long, but much if not all of that can be taken up when setting height of the slider rail etc which can be boxed in. It needs to be wide enough too.

Thanks sorry thats the issue the door is not long enough.

It's more a issue with the 100mm arcatrave and setting the rail above that will make a huge gap at the bottom

I would fix through tne architrave to get achieve the necessary height. The sliding gear will be sitting in front of it. With care you will be able to drill into the steel or concrete beam above, or into masonry at the side, however it is designed.
