Hi
I have to tile a kitchen wall; behind cooker up to extractor and between base and wall units with half bonded metro tiles.
The wall contains a breast which is 30mm larger than a whole tile run. This leave 15mm cuts on each end of the breast. Obviously I could slide the tiles along to give me cuts of (30mm + tile length)/2. However as these tiles are half bonded this approuch just moves the problems to the next row. Does anyone know of a solution?
I was thinking of a 'tile and a half' cut down to whole tile + 15mm or even a larger tile in the same range cut down ie 300mm and 200mm. This is effectilvely a 'tile and a half' option but when I looked into it I couldn't find shades to match in both sizes.
I suppose a border might be used but I'm not sure that would look right.
any suggestions greatfully received.
