I simply use smart bulbs where I want to dim it, but there are loads of smart relays.

In my landing light I have a Zigbee relay so can select centre, outer or both. There is no reason the same can't be done with an outside light.

It rains all the time there, so you can only buy waterproof lights.

There was a lamp which would light dim most of the night, and go bright when it PIR was activated, as to if it dimmed a single bulb, or used twin bulbs not a clue.

We want our outside light dim when reversing the car, or it reflects on reversing camera, better using the car's reversing lamps, but bright to walk with, I simply use a smart bulb.
