I got up this morning, to more snow than I have seen here, for decades. The local main railways line is on a regular scheduled closure, for them to progress with upgrades and electrification, during which time they divert trains a longer way round, and run coaches - except, due to conditions on the local road, the coaches cannot get through regularly. Instead of the one per hour, only one has managed to get through all morning. Due to the weather, I doubt much actual work is able to be done in the snow.

A decent fall here.

I'm supposed to be taking down the Christmas lights from around my house, but I'll wait until the forecast 9 degrees comes later, as I don't fancy being up the ladder in this

Snowed and settled in Essex late last night. Started raining about 1.00am, almost all the snow had melted by 9.00 but I've driven through the largest amounts of standing water I've ever seen on our way to the country park this morning and the woods we walk in has streams running in places I've never seen streams before.

I jumped on ours before the shoite wevva as well as taking the recip saw to the Chrimbo tree. Put my new sticker on the brown bin, ready for the next collection. Christmas is well and truly packed away for another year in the Noseall house.

boiler broke down over night
I’m sorry to hear that….bl@@dy things always wait until it’s proper cold.

My very very stelrad boiler broke down in Jan last year when it was -1c thankfully we have a gas fire in the lounge and an immersion heater.

I hope you’ve got alternative heating
