I thought lockdown was only to 'flatten the curve'. If they ain't flattened it by now they need to think of something else.
Funnily enough the number of 'excess deaths' in the UK (well England and Wales) was on the rise before this 'virus' appeared...

The excess deaths for this time of year aren't much above normal. Stragely, they stopped updating it after 6th Nov. It's almost as if they don't want us to know something.

If you hover over the end of the graph, it goes to the 13th Nov, a 2 week lag would be quite normal.
Excess deaths are climbing according to this graph.
