You coudn't pay me to go to London, never mind going on my own free will. Thanks, but no thanks.

I'm sure a simular program could made about Newcastle or any other city but the reality of what you see on TV and real life are some what different.

There are some bad parts of Soho and a gullable person will get ripped off but that's nothing new when the sex trade is involved.

Newcastle is a kinda garden compared to Soho, you'll find out when you come on the pi## with me.

Lived in both Newcastle and London (not specifically Soho) but as said, all cities are the same. Called being street wise, same as any city.

The only difference I can think of is in Newcastle it's obvious you're getting mugged. Whereas in London, you can be mugged in a thousand different ways!

Both me and my mum are looking forward to it

I've not been to Soho @ night for a few years but I understand it's very up-market, wine bars, nice clubs. What was so bad in the TV program?

Thats a good way of putting it. ;)

in London, it's all down to specific areas. Most of it is fine. The West End (inc Soho) prays on the vunerable, the lost and tourists. The city preys on ****ed bankers, the south bank prey on all the folk that can't be bothered to go to / don't work in the city or the west end.

'bout it really. All in all I think London's a pretty nice place. Then again I think the same of Newcastle. Just keep your wits about you. Never been mugged yet.

Drug dealers every 10 feet apart, from all over the world, muggings etc...
London IMHO is the place in the UK for your every needs, and who ever come's ( most ) to the UK flock there, So IMHO makes that a place to avoid at night.

'Fraid that's sensationalised. Drugs available in Soho, for sure, but it's them that go looking for them. Normally, no, you'd never see anything. Soho's much cleaner than it used to be, still some way to go, but....

I've Never been offered drugs in London either. (wouldn't want them anyway BTW)

With London and all other cities it seems the further away you get from the centre the worse it gets. Take Bristol, I've been lucky enough to work in various parts of the world (unlucky if I include Italy) and St Pauls which is just outside Bristol is the roughest place I have ever been.

St Pauls is nothing like what it used to be (went to uni in Bristol) when the riots took place. St Pauls is still a wonderfully diverse place. Look for positives in any place you'll find them. Look for negatives, be prepared.

I'm happy in little Newcastle, street wise enough to walk the streets at night, and feel safe in doing so.

Thats good to hear, You just need to make a mental note of where all the wheel chair ramps are ready for our night out
