Hello,
I am designing a new house and need some specific advice regarding soil vent pipe regulations in Scotland. The house will have 3 vertical stacks and a private unvented septic tank. I was planning to vent the soil pipe at the head of the run, however this is the only stack that only has appliances fitted to the gnd fl, the other 2 further down the run have ensuites on the first fl. also - will this cause any problems?
I was planning to use AAV's on the other 2 stacks so as to minimise penetrations in the roof as the building is clad in timber rain-screen cladding and making neat openings is difficult - will this be ok?
Also, I know that the SVP has to extend 900mm above any opening within 3m - this will mean 900mm above the ridge line due to rooflights. Instead of this (as it is right next to the gable wall) can I take the venting part of the pipe out horizontally through the gable wall and terminate it horizontally instead of having to take it all the up through the roof?
Any help much much appreciated!
