I am having solar panels installed and noticed that the installer did not use an angle grinder to adjust the tiles and enable them to lie flat after installing brackets.
He seemed to install the brackets very quickly. But they have not yet installed the cables for the panels, so perhaps I should give them more time, since they have only been working on the job for one day so far.

Is it acceptable to leave them like this with a gap?
Could the tiles crack or could there be other problems?
Should I insist that he grinds away some of each tile?
Advice will be appreciated, thanks.

The installers have advised that a maximum of a 5 mm gap is permitted according to MCS guidelines. It's a bit difficult to check the gaps. Also removing, grinding and replacing the tiles might weaken them.
