Solar panels BC/roof structural survey - online options?

Did you ever find a business willing to do a remote inspection? I'm looking for a more economical option than a >£500 structural engineer site visit

Depends how complex the install is and how old the roof is. I know the firm doing my solar has a standing arrangement with an engineer at £80+VAT - I said I'm unlikely to compete with that...

What does sometimes gets missed is that most roofs are fine globally, the number/size of fixings is more likely to control the design.
