Been trying to find a correct fitting solvent weld adapter for the large bosses on Aquaflow (from Toolstation) soil pipe branches. The boss seems to be larger than normal. Does anyone know what would work?

It appears that Aquaflow's own adapters are only available in rubber.

I really don't know what TS are about with that Aquaflow line of plastic. It is all slightly different sizes that standard and can make using it a nightmare onto existing installations. Actually if I think about it I know what it'll be, just so the average Joe has to buy only their line of fittings etc.

Just makes a mockery of standards and it really shouldn't be allowed.

Apologies, I know it doesn't actually answer your question but I couldn't tell you as I avoid it like the plague and I'm sure most, if not all, pro's do too.

Needs the Trade to avoid using it, (as you say many probably will when they realise its not compatible with everything else already out there), and perhaps TS will get the hint. Can only think there's a cost incentive to them stocking it, otherwise why go out on a limb from a standard we've been using for the last 50 odd years without an issue?

Couldn't agree more @Hugh Jaleak, you would think that the industry would get a hold of Aquaflow themselves to understand why their OD's seem to be different than the other main suppliers, don't have an issue intermixing their stuff and pull them into line.

As you say, it'll need the trade to vote with their wallet but in the meantime our life gets harder when trying to repair pipe that doesn't fit the standard, when we come across it and it'll only get worse. Perfect example is this post where there doesn't seem to be a SW boss adapter for their waste pipe, just the rubber bungs. They do state it's a 63mm but bet it isn't,

Sitting at home, (have managed to catch Covid....), have far too much time on my hands unfortunately, and I had a thought. Surely this stuff has to come under the relevant British Standards, and indeed there is, "BS EN 1329-1 2020 Plastic piping for soil and waste discharge(low and high temperature) within the Building structure" etc etc.

Surely then, anything on the UK market needs to comply with this, and if it doesn't, it shouldn't be allowed to be sold? Otherwise what's the point in having a British Standard?
