I was present at the birth of my first born, and felt very very privileged to be there. The wife held my hand so tight, I thought she was going to break some bones. She had an epidural and still suffered pain.
Around the same time, my younger brother's wife was giving birth to twins. She had a caesarean section. Gordon Bennett, for at least a week after, the wound was still open, weeping and bleeding. I wish women could have seen this. although she was almost knocked out for the operation and felt very little pain, she had to put up with constant pain for weeks after.
Perhaps childbirth has come a long way since the late 70's early 80's, but I don't think my brother's wife would recommend a C Section to anyone.
I do think women see these celebrities , walking on the red carpet a month after giving birth, looking all slim and perfect and think well If she can do that then so can I.
What they don't realise is that these celebrities , ain't getting up at 2 and 3 in the morning to feed the baby, change nappies etc. They employ people to do that for them. They have personal trainers, to help them lose pregnancy weight, personal groomers, beauticians etc.
Women of the world. Stop looking at magazines and realise, these celebrities don't lead the lives of us normal people.
