Spam emails

From the outset I wish to it make it crystal clear I am not pointing the finger or accusing any one of any wrong doing or anything underhanded. I am just making an observation to which there could be a very simple explanation but being a wood shaving short of a plank it is beyond me.

When I joined this forum I pacifically created a live.com email account dedicated exclusively for receiving any notifications from this forum (and it’s not the same as my user name). But what have I found is that around 20% of emails received is spam the remainder being normal notification emails.

At the time of joining I set my profile so couldn’t be viewed at all, as well as not being available for any one to leave comments and not to be included in any search results. I have also not included either of my two website address. So it seems very strange that I am receiving spam on the this dedicated email address. The only thing that comes to mind, when I signed up to the forum did I unknowing agree to let my email address be past on to any Tom, Dick or Harry. If I did could it made a little clearer in the terms and conditions please?

I repeat I am not pointing the finger or accusing any one of any wrong doing or anything underhanded.

Any advice regarding this mater would be gratefully received.

Probably to do with the asiatic email account you created perhaps it'll be better to create a uk one next time?

I have a number of live.com email accounts all set up a number of months before setting up the one for this forum and have had no spam what so ever on any of the others.

My computer is scaned when it starts up for the first each day, and when I close down all cookies, temp files and history is removed etc, etc, etc.

If I had spy ware embedded then all my other email accounts including the ones that are connected to my 2 websites would be affected but they aren’t and my two web site are .co.uk

No other accounts are affected only this one that’s what make it very strange.

If the provider is the same why is it only this email account affected or should I say ex email account? I have set up another dedicated email address for this forum so all I can do is wait and see.

I am ok for pills at the moment I get them from that very nice Polish Dr on ebay that joe-90 highly recommends. Any way I have the ones that have "Poland for ever" all the way through not the blue one that you have.
